Is this the official WhatsApp API?
Yes. Messages are sent through Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API from your own business number. There are no browser extensions or phone-based tricks involved, which is what usually gets numbers blocked.
Which number do the messages come from?
Your own. You connect a business number through Meta's sign-up window during setup. A number already in use on the regular WhatsApp app may need to be moved off it first, so many businesses keep a dedicated number for campaigns.
Why do I need approved templates?
WhatsApp only allows businesses to start a conversation with a template Meta has approved. You write and submit templates from inside bulkwamessages, and approval usually takes minutes.
Who pays for the messages?
Meta charges for template messages based on their category and the recipient's country. Those charges are billed by Meta to your WhatsApp Business account; your plan here covers the software.
Can my team use it too?
Yes. Invite admins and agents to your workspace. Everyone signs in with a one-time code by email or WhatsApp, so there are no shared passwords.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in Mumbai (AWS ap-south-1). Every business has its own workspace, and your contacts are never messaged by anyone but you.
